Stuck in the Doons

Last Saturday..dang what i day!
So I had a soccer game that morning and unfortuanly my team lost...though it was an amazing game, it went into double overtime and ended in PKs.
Then the day continued on and I was busy busy busy getting my homework done so I wouldn't have to do any on sunday and I could go play with my friends in the Sand doons that night.
Oh yes, let my story begin with the whole sand doons experience. lol.
Well, it was about 7:30 at night and we all piled into my friends Paul's car and some others piled into this other girl's four wheel drive. So on our way out to the doons we stoped by walmart to pick up stuff to make a fire and have smores and then we were on our way.... well I told paul how to get there and I told him, "when we get to the stop sign there is a sign that says how many more miles and to continue straight." well of course boys don't really listen now do they. So we get to the stop sign and he turns left. Next thing we knew we were driving down some creepy old farm road..for sure i got the spooks. So then we turned around after awhile and headed back to the stop sign for we could go the correct way to the doons. We get back on the right road and we get to the doons..well there was a sign that said, "Parking" and next to it was another sign that said, "NO PARKING ON THE SHOLDER" well Paul turns to try to park and he got stuck in the sand...oh just wait it gets better. So we are stuck on the sholder of the road in all this sand and we see the other four wheeler that was with us and they see that we turned so as we are waving them down to tell them not to turn they get stuck in the sand. Well since they have a four wheeler drive it was very easy for them to get unstuck, but as for paul's car we literally had to push the car out of the sand...it was very funny. After we got the cars unstuck we found a piece of pavement on the side of the road to park..from there we headed up the closes sand doon to begin making our fire..once the fire was made we played around on the sand doons, told scary stories and made smores..it was such a fun night. And just when we thought the night was getting better a police car pulls up and comes up to us. He asked if any of us were parked on the sholder of the road, luckly we weren't because we moved our cars, but sucks to be all those other college kids who got ticked. Around 11:00 p.m. we headed back to Rexburg to call it a night...can't wait to go back to the doons..and this time we won't get stuck...

p.s. check out my pics and such in my september 2009 album!
